Privacy policy
How the DeFi Founders Club handles personal data, in plain language. Last updated July 2026.
Who we are
DeFi Founders Club ("DFC", "we") operates defifounders.club. The site is operated by DeFi Founders Club, a Swiss association (Verein). Questions about this policy: apply@defifounders.club.
What we collect
Only what you give us. Application, contact, and onboarding forms collect your name, email, company, role, and what you write in free-text fields. Member onboarding may additionally collect billing details you provide for invoicing. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data.
Why we process it
To review applications, run the membership, organize events, respond to inquiries, and issue invoices. The legal bases are your consent, performance of the membership relationship, and our legitimate interest in running a vetted community (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), (b), (f); Swiss FADP).
Where it goes
Form submissions are delivered to the DFC team via our hosting provider, Cloudflare (hosting, security). Event registration runs on Luma; the member deal platform is operated by softstack; internal records may be kept in Notion. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We share nothing beyond what running the club requires.
How long we keep it
Applications: up to 24 months, then deleted. Membership records: for the duration of membership plus statutory retention periods for invoices. Contact inquiries: up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data, and withdraw consent, at any time via apply@defifounders.club. If you are in the EU/EEA you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Cookies & analytics
The site sets no advertising or cross-site cookies. Onboarding progress is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) and is never transmitted until you submit.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, with the date above.
